Mueble Escultura #01
Sculptures that look like furniture and furniture that looks like sculptures. Mueble Escultura seeks to unveil points of intersection between art and design. The work of contemporary designers and artists is presented together on the same plane, blending artworks with utilitarian potential and sculptural furniture. We have invited artists whose work sometimes brushes against the boundaries of functionality. In some cases, these are existing works that resonated with our criteria, while in others, pieces were specifically created for this occasion. We also encounter a niche in design that is interested in exploring form and material beyond function. Our invitation created an opportunity to develop unpublished works or special editions, resulting in pieces that challenge convention. We are interested in keeping the nebulous and inconclusive space open regarding what is considered furniture and what is considered sculpture. We invite you to celebrate the confusion that arises from this encounter. Participants: Daniel Basso, Deon Rubi, Irina Kirchuk, Romeo Sosa, Miguel Harte, Manola Aramburu, RIES, Sietes, Santiago Paredes, Agustina Perelló, Fabian Bercic, Estudio Brutto, Nicolás Bacal, Cinthia Kazez.
