The ‘C’ Trash Bins are a piece of urban furniture developed in collaboration with architecture studio adamo-faiden as a part of the equipment for the Catalinas Square project. They are composed by a casing made of 88.9mm diameter steel tubes cut to half a cane and fixed to each other with 44.5mm steel strips. These strips link the outer shell with ten 11mm diameter steel rods inside the trash bin, which in turn are inserted in ten lathed stainless-steel pieces that act as a fixture between the whole piece and the ground. A stainless-steel sheet disposed in the interior of the shell generates a visual counterpoint with the ground fixations and also provides a surface to put out the cigarettes protecting the paint.
